History

Construction Equipment Africa Limited was formed in 2000 to supply and service construction equipment and generators in particular. Robert Thompson the founder and managing Director has many years experience working in Africa previously as managing director of the local and successful Caterpillar distributor and as such is committed to offering a high level of support and service to international standards.

We currently maintain the fleets of most major telecom networks remote generators throughout Tanzania, and have been successful in the supply of generators to these prestigious clients. We designed our own GSM telecoms spec generator to service our clients in Africa with it being rugged, simple, reliable and fuel efficient. To date we have supplied numerous units to telecoms operators in various African countries and our unit is seen as the benchmark. We have an innovative and customer focused approach to our business, offering our customers the best possible solutions to their specific project needs.

Company Ethos:

Company Ethos: CEAL proudly considers itself to be a Tanzanian company and we have a policy of continued development of our local Tanzanian workforce. Throughout the years we have become major local employer and look forward to continue to be so. We consider successful training of local staff to be our first priority and we strive to a locally staffed and managed company. Furthermore, our commitment to the development of the Tanzanian economy can be demonstrated by our policy of local procurement wherever possible. It is a fact that the generator / canopy package we currently supply enjoys approx 70% of local content. We will continue to look at ways of increasing this content.

CEAL have grown from 2 employees to a level of over 140 and have invested substantial resources in the development of the company and its infrastructure. We believe our future is through the education and training of our local staff and to that end CEAL offers all our employees free technical and language training and are committed to promoting HIV/AIDS Awareness through our training mediums.

Ceal offersa a full range of power generation, construction equipment and spare parts.
